Famous Statue of the Founding Fathers of Chiang Mai

Dedicated to King Mengrai, the founder of Chiang Mai, his contemporary King Ramkamhaeng of Sukothai and King Ngam Muang of Payao, this monument has become an iconic image of Chiang Mai and can be seen replicated in various forms all around the city. The sculpture is now positioned in front of the old provincial administration building, the location of the current Chiang Mai City Arts & Cultural Centre.
