Taking Thai Silk to Greater Heights

Just a short 5 minute walk from the hotel to the Ping River you will find Vila Cini, notable because of its intricate teak exterior, antique doors and Thai architecture throughout. What it is truly known for though are its silk products that are second to none, making it a covetable destination for shopping in Chiang Mai. From sumptuous pillows to shawls to slippers, the elegant, quality silk goods here are made with original colours and with special adaptations to the traditional ikat weaving method. If silk isn’t what you are after, the shop is also stocked with antiques and other home accessories such as traditional Burmese lacquerware bowls, and hand painted and crafted terracotta elephant candle holders.
