A Ride Through Time

Discover Chiang Mai's Heritage by Classic Royal Enfield Sidecar

A newly introduced curated excursion that celebrates the timeless charm of Chiang Mai and the remarkable story behind the hotel's historic home.

This intimate 90-minute private journey begins at the iconic 137 Pillars House, once the headquarters of the Borneo Company and home to the European teak wallahs who shaped Northern Thailand's teak industry in the late nineteenth century. Guests then step aboard a beautifully restored classic Royal Enfield sidecar, an enduring symbol of British engineering dating back to the early twentieth century, creating a fitting connection to the colonial history that inspired the hotel's legacy.

Designed exclusively for one or two guests at a time, the experience offers a personalised way to explore Chiang Mai at an unhurried pace. Travelling through the hidden lanes of the Old City, guests will discover a quieter side of the destination, away from the usual tourist routes. The journey includes a visit to the peaceful Wat Duang Dee, one of Chiang Mai's historic temples, before continuing to Kalm Village, a creative cultural space where guests can pause for refreshments and soak in the local atmosphere. The experience concludes with a leisurely return to the historic teak residence of 137 Pillars House.
